TPT (Trading Partner
Transactions) is a powerful, eBusiness application tightly integrated
with QAD's MFG/PRO that lets companies do business with trading
partners and customers over the Web. Through a web browser, users can
access live data in a company's MFG/PRO system to enter and modify
sales orders, run reports, inquiries, and browses, enter service
requests, review supplier and customer schedules, and much more.
TPT brings your business to the Web quickly and easily. It integrates
perfectly with MFG/PRO (V 7.3+), enabling you to streamline your
business, increase sales, reduce costs, lower inventories, react
faster to the demands of your supply chain, and exchange up-to-the
minute information. It empowers your supply chain by providing
round-the-clock, self-service access to critical information within
your enterprise.
TPT includes a standard Web interface that resembles MFG/PRO. The
interface can be redesigned for different audiences, such as
customers, suppliers, distributors, and OEMs. And using eFramework™, a
web-application development environment from ISS Group, TPT can be
customized to enable integration with legacy and business applications
and to build custom components.
TPT offers iron-clad security and employs multiple mechanisms to
prevent unauthorized users from accessing private data and back-end
systems. TPT's newest features include:
New User Interface: The standard interface was redesigned for
ease-of-use and a better look and feel using Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Message Center: Like an online bulletin board, users can post
questions to a client’s Customer Service team. Through TPT, service
reps can respond quickly to customer questions and even provide status
information on service requests.
Advanced Shipping Notices: Permits on-line suppliers to issue
confirmations to buyers when orders get shipped.
Sales Order Templates: Ideal for distributors who order the
same product on a regular basis. Users can select an order form that
contains pre-filled product information and simply enter a new
quantity.
What-If Price Inquiries: Buyers can run inquiries to test the
impact of their purchasing decisions. For example, they can measure
the cost savings of purchasing one item versus an entire lot.
Create Orders from Lookups: Sales orders and quotes can be
created directly from sales order and item lookup screens. For
example, users can select a previous order from a lookup and link to
an order form. The selected data will be copied into the form
automatically.
KnowledgeBase Access: This permits companies to create and
maintain data using ISS Group’s on-line KnowledgeBase. Companies can
extend access to customers and partners via the Web.
B2B Access from Palm Pilots: Now, with TPT’s access to Palm
Pilot, remote (field) users are never without access to critical
information.
Capability to Handle Comments from MFG/PRO: New inquiry
capabilities permit users to view any existing comments within
MFG/PRO.
